Yellow Flag IrisI know I’m repeating myself again, but this is relevant,
and needs repeating. A continued and very serious concern on the lake is
the expanding amount of Yellow Flag Iris seen last year during our spring and
fall survey. It is a shore plant that we are hoping owners will remove
before it becomes a serious problem. I’ve attached the link from the WA
Noxious Weed Control Board for the Yellow Flag Iris. This link has pictures of
the plant, as well as instructions for removal. Before removing the

Algae BloomsDue to the mild winter and warmer weather, we are getting
reports already of algae blooms in the lake. Add to that, spring yard
work has begun and fertilizing the grass and plants, chemicals that feed the
algae, is normally on our minds. I’ve attached a couple of web sites

Need a little help with some basic computer tasks?Tom Beherns will be teaching some computer classes at the MBC on the Third Wednesday of the month starting May 20th from 7-8PM. The MBC now has internet access and this is a great way to get some tips and direction. He will be focusing on Windows 7&8, so bring your laptops or Surface tablet. This is another great reason to be a MBC member!
