MBC Member Meeting, Saturday, June 11 at 10 AM Come meet our 2022 High School Scholarship winner and see our new Sport Court! Weather providing, it will be completed!
SPORT COURT UPDATE! Thanks to over 200 of you who donated to the Sport Court Campaign. We are nearing the end of this wonderful project with court surfacing scheduled when the weather cooperates. Our SC Committee did their best to get reliable bids and quotes for work and material. Unfortunately, with inflationary costs and changes in design, we are slightly SHORT of our needed financial goal. The MBC Board of Directors have approved a 'loan' ($3500-$5500) from current funds to pay for the final costs. This 'loan' will be repaid to the MBC through Sport Court fundraisers...Pickleball Tournament, lessons, donations, etc. If you have donated, thank you. If you have not yet donated, please consider sending a check to MBC 5971 E Mason Lake Dr W Grapeview, WA 98546 or via PayPal.

With their gift and the many supporters in the past, we have raised our total to over $50,000.00 and we are on our way to our $60, 000.00 Goal. LET’S DO THIS!

Following the member survey, the Board decided they wanted members to have another chance to voice their opinions. We will meet to review the Sport Court plans, budget and vote on going forward. The Board voted to approve $10,000.00 from our current savings to be used for court construction. Members need to approve. 2021 Lakeside Summer Concert Line-up Announced
Hello Mason Lake!
Today we learned who The Seahawks will be playing this year. Tonight you’ll learn the musical lineup for The Lakeside Summer Concert Series.
July 3: Kicking things off as they did in 2020, No Slack Jack starts the season off with their own lineup of Top 40 Oldies. No Slack Jack is proudly brought to you courtesy of Windermere Peninsula Properties and Robert Cook.
July 10: If you’ve ever been to a Seattle-area yacht club dance, you’ve probably danced to The Tropics. They’ll be on stage bringing their own mix of “Yacht Rock Music” to actual boaters in their boats this time.
July 17: Back by popular demand, The Tonz will be playing their mix of rhythm and blues to the stage, out on the dock, and everywhere in-between.
July 24: A new group to Lakeside, we’ll feature PC and J, a four-piece group playing easy listening top 40 music.
July 31: “The Great Mason Lake’s Got Talent Night”. Let’s see all the talent residing on the shores of Mason Lake. We’re all here to cheer you on! Contact me to be included in the night’s lineup.
August 7: The Michael Pratt Band- it was a rainy evening last year when they performed for us, so many of you didn’t get a chance to hear them. Michael and the guys put on a high-powered show of Country Rock and proved to be one of the best bands of last year’s lineup. The Michael Pratt Band is being brought to you through the generosity of Mason Lake’s own Last Chapter Book Club.
August 14- The Jimmy Hoffman Band- Keeping the Country Rock vibe going for two weeks in a row, The Jimmy Hoffman Band will keep things moving with their own brand of musical showmanship. The Jimmy Hoffman Band is being brought to you through the generosity of Don Little and family.
August 21- Handy-Dullum Fusion- The crowd loved drummer and co-founder of HDF, Tony Handy so much, we just had to have them back again. Their mix of rock-inspired jazz originals are truly something special. And come early and get a good spot close to the dock so you can chat with Tony when he comes out to meet everyone.
August 28- Tammy Frost and Friends- Tammy’s back and this time with a new group. It’s a fun bunch with an eclectic mix of rock, soul, and Americana.
September 4- Closing out the Series on the Labor Day Weekend will be a new band to the lineup. It’s not the Guess Who? or the Wonder Who? or even just The Who. It will be a surprise band playing top 40 hits from days gone by. You’ll hear a little bit of this and a bit of that. There will be almost two centuries of professional music performing up on stage and they’ll be playing not only tunes you know, but ones that many bands don’t choose to tackle. Sponsored by Bill and Kathy Sanford.
That’s the lineup folks. If you see a band that you, your neighbors, your business would like to present, it’s as easy as contacting me. And we’re pooling individual donations as well, so please, support the quality of life on Mason Lake and live music. And as always, 100% of the donations go directly to the performers. Thanks to those who have donated and thanks in advance to those who are planning to.
Cheers,
Bill Sanford and Art Whitson
