Well, the remodel has reached another milestone in that the new composition roofing has been installed over the entire building! Latest pictures can be found at https://picasaweb.google.com/117864552232972159998/RemodelFraming# It may appear from the outside that
not much is going on now, but inside, the electrical panel clean up and the
little plumbing that was needed has been completed. Roger has poured the new entry porch
cement with room for 300 bricks (Have you bought your brick yet? http://www.mbcwa.com/about-us-1/remodel-information/purchase-your-brick-1).
Soon he will start the build out of the porch cover. We are thankful to
have such a talented person volunteering so much time to make this remodel a
success. Finish of the electrical rough-in is
also in the works as well as low voltage items such as; wiring for a network,
extra speakers for the new area, additional security points and clean up of our
audio/video cabinet. Shortly after that is completed, we will need to
insulate, remove the old dividing wall, then drywall, then interior paint,
install carpet, paint the exterior, get gutters installed, landscaping, and….
well you can see, there is more still to be done. You are welcome to come
and help with any of these projects and can contact Rick Means or Tom Nevers as
to the timing. If you haven’t been by the MBC in a while, stop by and you will like what you see!! |
