On Thursday June 21, our contractor, AquaTechnex had began the annual
surveying for the invasive weeds (Milfoil, Sagitaria) in Mason Lake. This visual survey will be done
from their boat around docks. They will then do a diving survey beginning
June 28 and 29 and July 2 and 3,
weather dependent. A treatment schedule notice will be sent out in early
July. If you have guest boats coming here, make sure they inspect their boat and trailer for any signs of Milfoil that could have come from another lake before they launch. Also, to help slow the growth of the invasive weeds, we need to make sure our
septic systems are working properly and reduce the amount of fertilizers used
on yards. There is more information about the milfoil issue in the News/Noxious Weeds section of the website. Lake Managment District Respresentative - Mary Jo Nelson 426-0069 |
